Mosaic flower power
comments (0) September 17th, 2008 in galleryHi there!
Here's a flower mosaic I made using bits of scrap stained glass (black and a lovely textured green). The base is an acacia wood charger plate I picked up on sale at The Bay.
How'd I do it? It was pretty easy - just stick down the glass with mosaic tile adhesive, grout it, cure and seal the grout, buff it all up, and add some salad bowl wax to the wood so it stays nice and moist.
And why should I win? Because it's pretty yet subtle. And because I cut my fingers many times when I was working on it. Yes, I suffer for my art ;-)
