Almost as soon as we started down the road from Moline, IL, we crossed into the next state, Iowa.

With Carol in the driver's seat, I started the day as navigator–which translates to knitting time. The sock got a heal!

Rainy weather for the first part of the day kept us focused on driving. We also had a goal to get through all of Iowa and agood chunk of Nebraska by evening.

By mid day, the rain cleared, but the sky was still cloudy. Perfect timing to visit a quilt shop or two. But which one?

After taking a a quick look in the Quilters Travel Companion,  one shop name and description caught our attention–The Cosmic Cow, in Lincoln, Nebraska.

The sign in front of the shop is a good representation of the colorful, playful fabric selection inside.
Here's a look inside the shop.
