On Monday morning, we left our hotel in Boise with the intent to make our first stop at Quilt Expressions in nearby Garden City, Idaho.

Blue and White display   More tall ceilings at this shop and lovely displays. Don't you just love this combination of blue and white fabric with the antique furnishings (also available to purchase!)
Shop   Featured in the most recent edition of American Patchwork and Quilting Quilt Sampler, the shop boasts a huge variety of fabric, notions, and home-grown stash buster kits. Customers can finish their quilts by renting time on one of several long-arm quilting machines.

This would be the last shop we vistied on the drive to Portland. We visited so many shops along our route that it could be easy to get them confused with one another. However, each shop had its own unique personality and product offering. One thing that seemed constant was that special brand of friendliness that any quilter appreciates from 'their' home shop!

And so we were on to Portand!
