Teacup Pincushions: Ribbons and Roses
September 20th, 2008 in sewing, other crafts, restyle, gifts, home decorating, galleryHere's another one of my teacup pincushions, created from a vintage teacup and saucer that I found at our neighborhood thrift shop. The pincushion is embellished with a sheer pink ribbon flower with a button center, and various other charms, ribbons, and buttons. The final touch to make this little teacup pincushion the perfect gift for someone special is a collection of beaded stick pins. The teacup is attached securely to the saucer to make a perfect place to hold additional buttons, pins and needles, or tiny spools of thread and embroidery scissors.
My teacup pincushions are so easy to make, that anyone could make an elegant and charming gift for mom or grandma . . . . . and that is why I think my entry to the Flower Power Challenge should win!
