Flower Power Challenge Winners!!!
comments (7) October 8th, 2008The CraftStylish Flower Power challenge was a bright and bursting success! More than 100 crafters posted their creations and left us with the prettiest DIY garden on the Web and four hugely talented winners. Thanks to all of you, our challenge gallery is simply a sight to behold and it is with great pride that we announce the power-four winning flowers!
At first glance, this stunning rose bouquet by Phesselbro appears to be just that, a natural bloom in its full glory. When we realized that we were looking at the amazingly artful transformation of a bunch of coffee filters (!!!), well, our collective hats came off in a hurry. Phesselbro, we salute your truly wondrous craft sensation.
The aster ring by Bonnindesigns is the kind of tizzy-making piece that we think boyfriends and significant others should take note of. Here's the perfect something for a special someone, or the perfect DIY inspiration to make some lovely floral bling (make a few...this is the kind of project that friends tussle over).
The incredible detail of this sweet and miniscule bud by dany4bec is impressive; that it was carved out of a toothpick is mind-boggling! Who would have thought that an instrument of dental hygiene could be crafted to bring such pretty pleasure? Well done, dany4bec, your flower makes us smile.
Thanks to this beautifully crafted stunner made by Loscann out of vintage pillowcase scraps, we'll never look at retired bedding the same way again. Bold and exquisite, this floral embellishment packs a lot of versatility for home decor. It is thrilling to see such new life hand-crafted from bits and pieces from the past.
Over the next few weeks, CraftStylish will spotlight more of the glorious projects from the flower power challenge centerstage, with features on our homepage.
Congratulations to the floral masters: We bow to you in gratitude and wonder—you have made the world a more beautiful place.
