Learn how to make all 20 ghoulish goodies by purchasing your copy of Tricky Treats.

Try these ghostly looking cupcakes from Tricky Treats (The Taunton Press, 2015) by Susanna Tee. Delight your guests, or just whip up a batch for the family.

You will need (makes 8):

• 8 round lollipops

• 8 bought or homemade chocolate cupcakes

• 7 ounces (250g) ready-to-use white rolled fondant

• 16 mini chocolate chips

How to make:

1. Unwrap the lollipops; cut off and discard a quarter of the stick.

2. Insert the shortened lollipops into the center of the cupcakes.

3. Roll out white fondant thinly and, using a round cutter, cut into 3¾-inch (9.5cm) circles.

4. Put each circle over the top of the lollipops and shape it so that it looks like a draping sheet.

5. Using a little water, attach two mini chocolate chips to each to look like eyes.
