This Vintagesque Necklace is one of my favorite pieces to make as well as to wear—I love taking apart broken vintage jewelry and reworking the beads and findings into something new. Since it's one of my go-to necklaces, I was extra happy that that was the project that ended up on the cover of my book, Bead Simple.

I made this video to show the wire-looping technique and necklace construction, so you can see exactly how to make your own. Best of all, this project can be super-customized: Use any identical or assorted beads you like, and adjust the length to suit your own style. If you make your own version, I'd love to see it—please add it to the Gallery and to my Bead Simple flickr group if you'd like to!
