pink princess wrap (prayer shawl)
October 16th, 2008 in sewing, fashion, knitting, crochet, galleryThis is my first ever entry for a CraftStylish Challenge... and I was completely lost for where to start! You mean I can do ANY craft???? WOW... too many options there!!!
So I decided to take advantage of the Taunton Books $10 donation, and knit a pink prayer shawl. I made the 'seeds of intention' one, using 10mm needles, and four strands of reclaimed yarn worked together. Since it was for Little Miss Four... I only increased to 69 stitches. I added a crochet daisy for the embellishment. It worked up fairly quickly and I was surprised at the 'stretch' in the knitted fabric, which makes it very comfortable and practical to wear.
My daughter loves this shawl... and calls it her PINK PRINCESS WRAP!
Pattern or design used: Make It Pink: Breast Cancer Prayer Shawl
