Make the Knot

To make a Celtic heart knot, use two thin or two thick cords in different colors. Hold the two cords parallel to each other, fold them in half, and mark the halfway point with a pin. Follow the photos below to form the knot; the process is shown with a single cord for clarity. Note the placement of the marked halfway point at the beginning of the process and at the end. This ensures that the cord ends are the same length on each side of the knot.
