Make yourself a “muslin,” and fix the fit FIRST. In “Test Drive Your Pattern” on p. 88 in Sew Stylish, Volume 1, I listed five good reasons why making a test garment out of unbleached cotton muslin or other scrap fabric will save you loads of time.
