At long last, I finally put a 1922 Vintage Flapper Hat Pattern to use. The pattern contains 7 design variations and I seriously want to try them all! Look for the pattern on Etsy under the id of kalliedesigns.

Zinnia, the particular variation I chose, came together quite easily after many careful head measurements. The body is made from Grape and Root Beer wool blend felt. The zinnia flower is constructed of Plum, Avocado, and Custard wool blend felt. Pre-cut wool felt leaves were embroidered with a simple stem stitch and a single wool felt bead was used for the center.

This hat looks so much cuter on than the photos imply -- especially when it grazes just above the eyes with a short bob peeking out from underneath!
