I love the visual drama of this flocked black velvet damask on a white
background from PaperStudio.com. At $5.25 per sheet, it’s a little more
expensive but worth every pretty penny.

For some women, it’s a sparkling diamond. For others, it’s a fabulous handbag. For me, the object of desire—the one thing that makes me weak in the knees—is a great sheet of paper. Forget those bejeweled baubles, and give me handmade lace paper imported from Japan any day. (Much to the delight of my husband, this is absolutely true.)
What could inspire such paper love, you may wonder? My crafty friends, there’s a whole world of fabulous paper out there waiting to be discovered and used in your one-of-a-kind creations.
Next time you start to reach for an old scrapbook paper or that tired-out sheet of mulberry you’ve had since 1998, why not try something new and exotic instead?
Here is a list of my favorite places to go for some online paper inspiration:
Creative Papers Online
PaperSource.com
PaperStudio.com
Hollander’s
PaperMojo.com
With all of the beautiful colors, patterns, and textures on the market, you’re sure to find that perfect piece to make your project shine.
