Now this is a fancy notion from Coach! I recently bought this chocolate-colored Coach tape measure as a birthday gift for my sister-in-law (who is also a fashionista and sewin’ fool). This little fashion accessory/sewing notion is too cute for words! It measures 2 inches by 2 inches, so it fits easily into the tiniest purse. Great for all those trips to the fabric store! It includes an auto-recoil 60-inch tape measure. All you need to do is press the center of the subtle leather casing…and vrrt…home it goes! Oh, and it comes in a cute cloth bag and box emblazoned with the Coach logo.

The tape measure was available in Coach retail stores and on www.coach.com over the holidays. It was a hot ticket, apparently, as it is no longer listed on the Website. However, I called a Coach customer service representative today and she told me that the tape measures are still available in select Coach factory stores. You can locate a factory store near you on www.coach.com.

Also check eBay and other online auction sites. Over the past week or so, I’ve watched quite a few of the tape measures go up on the auction block. I bought another one (white on one side/silver on the other) for a friend who just purchased a new home, figuring that it would come in handy when fitting curtains, buying furniture, etc.
