Make One-of-a-Kind Earrings from Paper and Paint!
comments (9) November 6th, 2008I'm a big fan of extra-talented crafter Jennifer Perkins -- she contributed a beautiful bracelet project to my book Bead Simple, I love my pieces from her jewelry line, and her new book, The Naughty Secretary Club: The Working Girl's Guide to Handmade Jewelry, is awesome. (Look for a review and giveaway right here later this month!) Her daily blog is a super fun read too and this week she posted a great jewelry tutorial: how to turn a original painted collage into a fantastic pair of earrings!
Jennifer hosted her friend, artist Traci Bautista, for an Austin craftathon and they created some amazing mixed media pieces. Jennifer says, "I collaged, stamped, heat pressed, hammered and more. Using my usual jewelry findings, what was once a piece of paper with purple paint drizzled on it was transformed into a one-of-a-kind pair of earrings." Wow!
