Kaffe Fassett's latest book of incredible quilts is “Quilts in the Sun,” published by the The Taunton Press in 2007. It features some of his own quilts as well as those of other noteworthy quiltmakers such as Roberta Horton, Mary Mashuta, Liza Prior Lucy, Pauline Smith, Brandon Mably, Rebekah Lynch, and Betsy Menefee Rickles. The photographs are glorious and inspirational, taken on location in Portugal, and the project illustrations and templates make it easy for even the beginning quilter to follow. There are 21 quilt patterns in all, rated from 1 to 3 stars in terms of difficulty. He suggests color schemes and concludes with a "Tips and Techniques" section that covers the basics and more.
