Instructables can teach the world virtually anything.

If you've been visiting this site with some regularity, you may know that a few of our staffers just returned from Make magazine's Maker Faire in California where we had the best time telling people about CraftStylish and learning about the endless possibilities of what people can dream up and, um, make.

Among the great people we met was Christy Canida from the amazing online resource for makers, instructables.com.

People post the most amazing crafts from knitted hats to wedding cards to homewares but there are also unexpected, and sometimes intangible, projects such as how to take pictures for Ebay without a camera, how to hear light and how to encourage people to bike instead of drive.

According to Canida, anyone can post projects and their intellectual property remains theirs (not the site's). Some authors allow thier projects to be re-used by anyone others require permission. All the "instructors" can be contacted through the site.

What a cool idea. We hope to partner with the site in the future to create some CraftStylish/Instructables projects - perhaps how to knit a furry scarf for a robot?
