Is it a sweater? Or is it a shawl? The right answer is “both!” The cardi-wrap fashion trend gained ground this winter, and we don’t see it fading anytime soon. The versatile cover-up (you can wrap, twist, and tie it in at least a half-dozen ways) is perfect for spring days and summer nights, as well.

Anna Mazur—a contributing editor for Sew Stylish and our sister publication Threads (www.ThreadsMagazine.com) and fashionista extraordinaire—recently showed us how to whip one up in an hour. The cardi-wrap boils down to a rectangle with sleeves! So grab a beloved fabric and try out her cool design. Here's a printer-friendly PDF of the project below:

bee2200 writes: I can't wait to try this one out. I hope to be able to have it done for this fall. Believe me, I will post pictures when I am done. This is a beautiful piece and for those cool morning and cool buildings, it will work perfect in my closet.
