Love it! no recommendations

If you are using a heavy/thick material for your crafting project, you would be needing a heavy duty sewing machine because the normal sewing machines aren't able to stitch this kind of fabrics. The heavy duty sewing machines are designed to stand heavy materials such as denim and synthetic leather.

These sewing machines are built with a heavy needle, heavy duty metallic frame that can be put into heavy workload continuously. They are although not price higher than other sewing machines if you are skeptical about the price because it can handle heavy workload.

Some of the heavy duty sewing machines can be purchased for as low as hundreds and few additional bucks but you need to make sure it comes with all the necessary functions and features. There is no use of buying a sewing machine that doesn't meet your requirements.

If you are going to use this sewing machine for stitching heavyweight materials only, I'd recommend buying an advanced sewing machine so that you dont' face any problem at the time you work on your crafting projects.

The heavy duty sewing machines are able to stitch at a faster speed than other simple sewing machines. Although this is not true for every heavy duty sewing machines. You need to check the stitching speed with the vendor before purchase.

Factors to be consider for choosing a heavy duty sewing machine

1- Know the purpose

Before you buy a heavy duty sewing machine, you must know the purpose. Whether you will be using heavy duty sewing machine only to sew heavyweight material or for light materials as well. Some of the heavy duty sewing machines aren't able to handle lightweight material such as silk with ease.

2- Built-in stitches

Some low-end heavy-duty sewing machines dont come with a lot of built-in stitches which could be a disadvantage for some people. Understand how much built-in stitches you need at the most in your sewing machine.

3- Stitching speed-

Check with the vendor or read the specification of the heavy duty sewing machine to know the stitching speed. The heavy duty sewing machine such as SINGER 4423 is able to stitch at a speed of 1,100 stitches per minute speed.

4- Frame

The heavy duty sewing machines are meant to last longer and stand heavy workload. In order to do that, you must choose a heavy duty sewing machine that has a sturdy heavy metal frame. Make sure you buy a heavy duty sewing machine with a heavy frame.
