Christmas crafts
November 21st, 2008 in sewing, other crafts, home decorating, holidays, galleryThis is an easy way to make garland for a Christmas tree. Cut circles from felt then run them through the sewing machine, overlapping a bit as you feed them through.
The idea was inspired by a Martha Stewart project from a few years back, where she made garland out of string and those round stickers used in garage sales.
You could tweak this for different holidays. For Valentine's Day, cut red and pink hearts from felt, sew them in strands then hang the strands from your sweetheart's or your child's doorway--a fun surprise when they wake up in the morning.
