Klimt needlepoint cushion cover
comments (0) November 21st, 2008 in galleryThis is a small cushion cover based loosely on the work of Gustave Klimt. I took shapes and colours from sections of his densely detailed paintings, especially where he depicted fabric. The needlepoint is worked in wool and a metallic thread called Goldfingering (such a wonderful name!). I love the way that you can get flowing curves on something so symetrical as a canvas grid pattern.
