An alexandrite CZ ring I made out of fustration.  The ring was built for a white spinel stone, realizing the spinel was actually 1mm too small for the 6mm bezel, I bought a 6mm royal purple amethyst and only 45 mins later, I ended up breaking the stone.  Two days later, a friend gives me her 6mm Alexandrite CZ.  It fitted perfectly after 1 hour of drilling the bezel frame to expand its size and using the hammer and chinsel tool to trap the stone inside the bezel.  If anyone knows anything about alexandrite, its a color changing stone.  In cooler environments meaning indoors, its purple clear color, in hotter environments meaning outdoors, its a blue clear color, in some places, it shows all 4 colors.  its a gorgeous stone.
Another view of what it looks like being worn.  It fits absolutely comfortable for size 8.
An oval lapis lazuli afgan beads strung up nicely with glass white beads on a 17 inch necklace.  The facated focal bead gives a nice accent to the design.  Its finished with a sterling silver clasp.
An experiment while doing a hardcore technical poker chip project, I decided to do something random.  I melted copper and silver together, added copper drops and silver drops onto the surface.  The copper left a pink to red tone on the middle piece.  Then, I realized, the piece is almost 75% of copper, Enameling should work.  It almost worked, it stuck to some places.  I decided to set the piece like a stone.  I added a double wire band for the bail and a drop of silver here and there.  There is a labadorite stone on the bottom left.  Its approx 4 inches in diameter.
The first expirment before the seagem.  I melted copper and silver together leaving it in an odd shape, almost organic appearance to it.  I added some copper and silver drops onto the surface and the bail linked with a 6mm round garnet.  The pendant ended up winning  a gallery contest as the 3rd prize in 3d format.  I was excited because I didnt know there was going to be prizes, and I wasnt expecting to win anything.

These are fairly recent projects within the last month.  Most of the time, my work is random when I am freelancing.  It depends what materials I have on hands that allows me to explore on my own.  I use to do this for a grade, now I do it for fun and i love seeing my customers having a smile on their face when they enjoy something crafted just for them :)
