Happy Thanksgiving from my Little Turkeys to Yours!
comments (4) November 27th, 2008As far as kid crafts go, what could be better than bowls full of asssorted sweets and a handful of toothpicks??? Making apple turkeys is one of our favorite traditions. It starts at the grocery store, in the hustle and bustle of finding everything we NEED for the holiday dinner, we add a run down the candy aisle. What should obviously take two minutes to figure out ends up adding at least 15 minutes to the trip. We started making these little birdies a few years ago, and even though we have a plan for what we will use to make the head, wings, feathers, etc. ...the girls love to debate the pros and cons of using swedish fish vs. sour patch kids and other important matters. In the end, it's worth the effort. I love watching the girls put the turkeys together. Then, while we set the table, they proudly position a turkey next to everyones water glass. Our Thanksgiving wouldn't be the same without them! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
....PS if you look really close at the photo showing my lovely kitchen/sewing room/craft table, you can see a sneak peek of next weeks how-to. My machine is busy embroidering in the background! Oh, and I'm happy to report that I will be moving into my new house in December...there is a separate sewing room!!!!

Unfortunately, I do believe that a sewing center won't help you with something you didn't buy from them...I worked for a dealer for 10 years, and even through we didn't treat customers that way, I know plenty of shops who did. I would love to help you with your question, buy I have to research it first. I've never worked with a magic box. My gut feeling is that if there is digitizing capability, it's limited. I am familiar with most manufacturers' software....Let me check it out and I'll get back to you.
