I'm a patternaholic. I'll admit it. I inherited my mum's and my aunt's collection and I've made a good go of building my own. I can smell a pattern sale a mile off! But sometimes I just can't find what I need in my (growing) stash. Recently I really wanted to sew a square-necked tunic with bell sleeves. Simplicity 4228 met the criteria in all but one area - the neckline. So a little pattern-drafting and some alterations later, I created a new pattern piece for the upper front. While I was at it, I decided to add a fake button placket. I call this my flower power tunic.
