Kristin Nicholas is a delightful knitter and embroiderer, among her many other skills, and I love to read all about her life and farm life on her blog: Getting Stitched on the Farm. Today she shared a great tutorial on how to make houses out of recycled cardboard boxes, birch (found on rotting trrees, or purchaseable online), pine cones, glitter, and a few other supplies. Whether you do this activity with kids or just for yourself, I think it'd be a lovely way to spend the afternoon.
