Sew a Pair of Shoe Submarines
comments (5) December 8th, 2008A guy may have everything, and that might include less-than-fresh shoes, so why not whip up a pair of shoe submarines to torpedo odor and moisture? They are particularly handy for slipping into a pair of athletic shoes after a vigorous workout. No matter how much your guy sprinkles powder on or sprays his feet, chances are he could use a pair of these for much-loved (read: pungent) shoes. And hey, guess what? They make great stocking stuffers!
You’ll need:
- 1/4 yard home décor fabric
- Measuring tape or ruler
- Fabric marker
- Scissors
- Thread
- Sewing machine
- 1-1/4 cups white rice
- 1/4 cup baking soda
- 1/2 cup dried rosemary

Pick a fabric that's going to appeal to dudes. |
Step 1: Iron the fabric. Fold the fabric in half, with right sides facing, and mark 3-1/2 inches x 8-1/2 inches. Pin and cut out the fabric so you have two pieces. Using these pieces as a template, cut out two more pieces in a similar fashion. You now have four pieces.
