I know these aren't super beautiful, but that's ok.  They smell great!  We'll see how long they stay that way.  Thanks to Jennifer Worick, for writing the tutorial at http://www.craftstylish.com/item/31259/sew-a-pair-of-shoe-submarines.  It's a great way to use scrap fabric, and a hilarious gift for my fiance.
