ColdFeetQuilter writes: The fabric is tulle. The bubbles are circles cut from Timtex, that I painted with Dynaflow textile paints,. There are also pieces of cotton fabric in the layers.

ColdFeetQuilter writes: Sorry ladies, I just discovered your comments!

No I don't have any computer program for designs. I just doodle on paper, & study textures of things, like rocks, or the bark of a tree, or wave patterns in the sand.

The bubbles quilt is made using tulle for the top &bottom fabrics.
The circles are Timtex panted with dynaflo fabric paints.

RachelPhilips writes: Are your designs something you have programed in or are they something you guide and sew as you go? They are very well formed and lovely to see. Do post more photos soon.

MichaelaMurphy writes: These are amazing. Mary Ray just posted about long-arm quilt machines--how cool that you have one, and that it has a name! The trapunto in progress is extraordinary. What is the base fabric that you used for the Bubbles quilt?
