Yes, it is Reusable Bag Day in Austin,TX and the whole city is getting green.  Throughout the day,  there are quite a few stores participating in Design-A-Bag stations where parents and kids can create a reusable bag to replace the waste of plastic throw-aways. And, yes, I am absolutely one to ride on the coat-tails of another city's significant event. Especially if it's good for the entire planet and most definitely when I blog for a website with several terrific resusable bag patterns. If you happened to miss the first great DIY bag, here it is again, "The Think Green Reusable Grocery Bag" pattern post by sewing blogger Shannon Dennis. And if you want to get all fancy schmancy you have to check out the awesome "Reverse Applique Tote" by Diane Gilleland.
