How to Embellish Flip-Flops with Crochet
comments (12) June 20th, 2012Trim the yarn, leaving an 8-inch tail. Wrap the yarn around the strap and tie a knot, then rewrap and reknot once more. With a yarn needle, weave the yarn back and forth through the stitches on the inside of the strap. Repeat this process for the other yarn tail.

Finally, sew a button to the center of each flip-flop. |
To attach the button, thread a yarn needle with a length of yarn and knot the ends. Wrap the knotted yarn around the center of the flip-flop and insert the needle through the knotted end, then pull taut. Sew the button to the center, working the sewn stitches into the stitches around the center of the strap. Wrap the yarn around the button (underneath the button) and knot twice to secure. Trim the yarn ends.
Repeat this process for your second flip-flop, and your feet will be comfortably adorned just in time for Fourth of July cookouts.
