Slipcovers
comments (2) January 4th, 2009 in galleryI make my slipcovers by cutting and pinning-fitting a muslin half-pattern. The skirtless hem stays put with hook and loop tape. Extra fabric in the deck tucks into the crevices to give a smooth "upholstered" look. A zipper on the vertical corner makes it easy to put on or remove. The old cushion had to be discarded; I made a new 4" cushion with 2" foam scraps from a previous project. About 8 yards of fabric was used for the cover and self piping.
