I saw this idea in a magazine (Dita Von Teese had this in her bedroom holding her brooch collection with an ornate gold frame). I needed access to my vintage and modern brooch collection so that I could wear them more often. It makes a lovely statement in the room and framed, acts like a living work of art. I used foamcore board wrapped with batting and covered in a ribbon embroidered stretch velvet. The brooches are arranged by color in my frame, but you could arrange them in a flower shape or tree shape too! My friend and I used small frames and did this with just one or two brooches for gifts (to sit on a dresser or hang) - everyone loved theirs.
