I used this tote bag as a 'sampler' of the decorative stitches on my sewing machine. I quilted each square using a different stitch.  Lots of fun and good practice. I think it came out well.  I just love the new charm packs. So much variety and satifies my fabric cravings.

MrsFins writes: The fabrics for this bag were primarily a Moda charm pack. I think it was called something like Fig & Plum. I added the dark brown tone on tone.
Very easy and fun to make. If you put the decorative stitches on, only sew those on the outside layer, not through to the lining. See the pattern for more details.
Glad you like it.

Sherrisews writes: What a wonderful way to show off those stitches! I will be making some placemats that showcase some of my machines stitches.....and now I MUST *borrow* your idea for a tote! If it's ok with you??? LOL

They say imitating is the best form of a compliment and I hope it rings true for this project :o)

I love it!
