Made via 'stream of consciousness' as the 7th piece in Meristem's "Dear Diary" collection.

Since I've begun making jewelry, I find my that my introspections are composed of shapes rather than words. So instead of grappling with how to turn my wordy concepts into shapes, then back into words again, I will experiment with going straight to the core, the surreal, the shapes. What I aim to create is wearable art that is based on my own ponderings and subconscious but still maintains an aesthetic sensibility. That being said, I will give the pieces titles and details of materials and size, but I will leave it's intrinsic meaning up to you.

This bracelet is brave, bold, and flamboyant. It is to be worn when you want your presence known!

Chain was created by hand forming each circle, hammering for strength, linking them, and then soldering them closed. Each link is wrapped with fine silver wire and one accent stone bead. Dangling from the chain are vibrant stones of purple, lime green, orange, and yellow. All of the stones have been wire wrapped either by "capping" a briolette, or placing them on hand crafted head pins. The stones are mystic whiskey topaz, 3 colors of quartz, amethyst, citrine, carnelian, peridot, and purple jade. It closes with a hand crafted hook that can attach to any of the links. The entire bracelet was oxidized and then hand and machine polished. The bracelet is 8" long, but can be worn shorter.
