Annie Modesitt is at the top of the knitting game. She's appeared in too many magazines and books to count as well as authoring more than a few titles herself. She keeps the blog Knitting Heretic and maintains the pattern site Modeknit.

It's the latter site that our editor Michaela sent me in a link, praising this corset pattern with knit lace edging at the neckline and hips. I had to agree with her that it's divine—beautiful and timeless and a little bit like a classic Ralph Lauren design.

Modesitt calls the skill level intermediate and suggests worsted-weight silk wool for the best result.
