I guess French knots make great hair stitches since another well-loved embroidery blogger, Kristi at Stitchy Stitcherson, just finished a sampler/tea towel featuring a fetching little lady with a blond afro.

It's another Jenny Hart (of Sublime Stitching) pattern, of course, and this one's available for free on CraftSanity!
