I stumbled upon Nesting Emily's etsy shop during my regular web browsing and I just love her series of HOLD jars. Each jar is made with porcelain clay, and the lids have an inset piece of vintage lace or a doily set into their tops. She adds splashes of color inside each jar by melting glass in them during the firing process. These would be a perfect addition to hold your notions or any of your special treasures.

LindaPermann writes: I'm not exactly sure, but from looking at them, I think she must drill the holes before she fires the piece, and then sew the doily into the jar (via the holes) once it's fired. That's my guess... it makes me want to get into ceramics again!
