Hambly Screen Prints: Making Buzz at CHA
February 3rd, 2009 in other crafts, home decorating, paper crafts, memory makingSeemingly every time I ran into one of my fellow CraftStylishers on the CHA show floor, she'd ask: "Have you been to the Hambly booth yet?"
...And the Hambly Screen Prints booth certainly lived up to the buzz. Based in Santa Clara, CA, Hambly is a family-owned company that screen prints the most beautiful papers, overlay sheets, and rub-ons.
The motifs are absolutely gorgeous—everything from clean, modern design to baroque frames to overall patterns like woodgrain.
While I loved the papers and overlays, I have to say that the rub-ons were truly amazing. There were all kinds of designs, screened onto clear acetate sheets, so you can easily rub them onto a scrapbook layout, or fabric, or a ceramic dish, or a wall. With a little sealing, the design will last and last. (Those pillows above sport lots of rub-on designs, protected with some Fabric Mod Podge.)
The Hambly website has lots of pictures, plus a blog and a really great line of stickers. Check it out!
