a really sweet vintage valentine card made from a heavy weight cardstock and a vintage handerkerchief.
MATERIALS NEEDED: 4"x4" cardstock, handerkerchief (addtional one needed for envelope), matte medium, paintbrush, corner rounder, pink thread and needle.

STEP 1: you'll want to pick your favorite part of the handerkercheif to use in your card. lay it out over your 4x4 square and choose. cut out the area leaving a good 1" border to work with.

STEP 2: cover your 4x4 card in matte medium and lay the handkerchief over the card. smooth and press down and let dry under a heavy book for about 15 minutes.

STEP 3: once dry, trim so the handerkerchief is flush with the card. use your corner rounder to round out the corners.

STEP 4: using an oversew stitch, neatly outline the card and trim any loose strings. you can smooth out the handerkershief material wit additional matte medium of the ends are pulling away from the card as well.
