Felting is popular nowadays, and using silk fiber makes it so elegant. Learn more about this process by visiting Treenway Silks. And check out the work of Sue Bleiweiss from Massachusetts. She offers online classes in fusion and other techniques. Her sculpted objects are beautiful and exciting examples of what you can do with fiber. View her tutorial for making silk paper.

I think this could become addictive, too. It’s bound to be a little messy, but it can offer a lot of creative surprises because as you layer fibers of different colors you can’t always predict the outcome. I love those moments when you can step back and say, “Wow, look what I made!”
