I sewed this bed for my son's Parrot. It is made from the fabric I covered my dining chairs with so that it matches the decor of the room. I lined it with a double layer of soft polar fleece.

Caiques would live in a tree hole in the wild, so he needs a soft bed to sleep in. He sleeps in it upside down on his back, with a little blue stuffed bear. Sometimes he carries toys into it and plays in there on his back. It hangs by a pear link from the top of his cage.

Toffy writes: This is wonderful, and a great idea for a beloved pet. I would love to know if the Caique's are destructive like my Macaw's were. My Greenwing would have torn that to shredd's in about an hour. I am thinking they are not destructive by nature based on your post. This is the first I have heard of this Breed of Parrot.
