Button It Up March on CraftStylish
March 1st, 2009 in other crafts, books & moreIt's March! Honestly, all I can say is Yay! The days are getting noticeably longer, a little bit warmer, and our beloved CraftStylish.com is growing strong with all kinds of cool things to coax the most out of spring.
The first BIG news is the publication of Susan Beal's new book Button It Up! In addition to the genius-projects designed and conceived by Susan, Button It Up features button-wonderful inspiration and how-to from CraftStylish superstars Kayte Terry, Linda Permann, and Diane Gilleland. Fans of Susan's first book, Bead Simple, will be overjoyed, and button lovers everywhere will get positively dizzy when they feast their eyes on the projects and ideas inspired by these beautiful, these powerful, these amazing: buttons.
Join us every day of March as CraftStylish celebrates Susan and her amazing accomplishment with an entire month of projects and tutorials devoted to buttons: We promise, you'll be amazed (check out some of the pictures from this week's line-up). We are also going to be proudly giving away copies of Button It Up, so keep posted and you could win one of this season's craftiest titles.
In fact, March is a HUGE month for new and highly anticipated craft books. The great Kathy Cano-Murillo, aka, Crafty Chica, just published her newest, Crafty Chica's Guide to Artful Sewing, Jenny Ryan has us swooning over her newly released Sew Darn Cute: 30 Sweet and Simple Projects to Sew and Embellish, and Christine Haynes has us counting the days until her new Chic & Simple Sewing: Skirts, Dresses, Tops and Jackets for the Modern Seamstress hits the shelves. CraftStylish is thrilled to announce that we will be giving away copies of all of these beautiful books throughout the month.
While we're at it, let's include Sewing Green: 25 Projects Made with Repurposed and Organic Materials by the amazing Betz White. This book is a must-have title for every craft library; it is also the absolutely perfect book to take us into spring and our upcoming Earth Month, April, filled with 30 days of how-to projects and ideas that make glorious use of natural and recycled materials.
That's just a bit o' March. In like a lion, out like a lamb? I don't know about that. But I do know that right here on CraftStylish we will be very buttoned up!
Happy early spring everyone!
