How to Make a Pretty Pincushion with a Button Center

You now have four two-square pairs. With the right sides facing, line up the long edge of two of the square pairs and sew down the long edge. Press. Repeat for the remaining two squares. You'll end up with two four-square pieces, which will be the front and back of your cushion. |

Line up the squares, right sides facing, and pin them in place. Beginning 1 inch in from one side, sew around the square, ending 1 to 2 inches in from the last corner (so that you have about a 4-inch opening left for turning). Pink the edges of the square and turn it inside out. |
Press the square, turning the open edges under to match the finished edge of the square. This will make it easier to sew shut later.

Stuff the square with polyfill. Roll small balls and push them into each corner, and stuff more polyfill than you think will fit (this cushion looks best extra-plump!). |
