Laura Walker of Veronica Buttons makes these exquisite ceramic buttons textured with lace. Darcy, above, is just one of her designs—although its a bit pricey, itd look wonderful as a pendant on a necklace or on a one-button sweater.
Clay artist Lisa Clarke fashions fasteners from polymer clay and sells them under the name Polka Dot Creations. Her buttons can pass through the washer and dryer, and are often made to coordinate with fabric sets from popular designers. The big button above goes with Alexander Henrys Birdseed collection. She also sells hand-sewn and hand-knit items featuring her cute buttons.
These tree branch buttons from The Button Shop would look great on a woodsy sweater. The shop sells buttons made from many types of trees, using salvaged exotic woods.

Today I'm rounding up a few more unique button makers on Etsy. I love the different materials each of them uses to  make the same functional item. Click on the photos to read descriptions and see links to the sellers.

And if you have a favorite button shop that I missed, please feel free to share it with me in the comments.
