My parents bought me this lamp from a flea market when I was a pre-teen. The original shade was showing its age, so rather than replacing it, I glued white buttons all over it. I love the effect -- dimesional and light reflecting.

rolashan writes: i love this idea because i have the same style lamp shade.. it is getting dusty and dirty ...when the shade gets too bad to look at, so instead of buying a new shade.. adding some buttons will be a whole lot cheaper.
