Blue and Pink Easter Bunnies

Night, Night Easter Bunny

I recycled a blue fleece scarf and a pink one.  I drew a bunny shape, pinned it on the doubled fabric, cut it out, sewed around the edges, and left an opening for stuffing.  After turning the bunny inside out so that the seems didn't show, I used the inside of an old cushion to stuff him.  I whipped stitched the opening and then used blue embroidery thread, all the strands,  to stitch around the boy bunny...a blanket stitch, and then pink for the girl.  Next, I embroidered the eyes.  The eyes are just a curved line, they look closed, like he is sleeping.  I sewed a white pom pom for his tail.  I didn't do anymore to his face...mainly because I like him without anymore detail!  They are so soft and I think will be easy for little ones to sleep with.  They were a nice easy project for me to learn a little about the sewing machine.  Hello Night, Night Bunny!
