Crafty By Nature Entry by Janet Metzger
March 24th, 2009 in sewing, fashion, restyle, galleryThis is a sweet childs cardigan I fashioned from a forgotten cast away adult wool sweater destined for the local landfill. I Fulled it in my washer then turned it from a pullover to a cardigan by cutting up the front and sewing edge under. I then needle felted two cute wooly sheep on the front using clouds of creamy wool roving. Green grass was needle felted under their little feet. I embellished around the neck by needle felting recycled wool yarn. Salvaged Grosgrain ribbon was added for a pretty tie closure. This wool sweater went from a throw away to a treasure in one afternoon!
