This beautiful, petal-covered bauble is made from six sheets of paper and a few clever folds.
This unassuming origami model, when paired with five identical components, creates a charming, and useful, ornamental box.
A simple box becomes an extraordinary jewel with just a few quick pinches of the paper flaps on its six faces.

(8) Fold the center flap to the right and the bottom flap toward the top as indicated in the before and after illustration (note: folding one flap will cause the other flap to fall into place).

Stop and take a breath. That wasn't so hard, right? (9) Now fold the top-left edge down to the bottom-center edge as indicated in the illustration.

(10) In a move that reflects the actions from step 8 above, fold the center flap to the left and the top flap downward.

DefyingDestinyy writes: Can someone please guide me through the second part of step 9. I don't understand where you're supposed to fold. Well, I don't understand where the folded part is supposed to go. When I try to do it, it doesn't look like the picture, and the paper doesn't want to bend. I really want to do this because the end result looks beautiful. Please help.
