Sally Found Seashells @ The Seashore, & Look What She Did With Them!
April 16th, 2009 in other crafts, gifts, home decorating, galleryphoto 1 - Title of Art Piece--"Sophisticated Sally Seashore"
For this piece I painted, and glue shells I found, and collected at the beach, and embellished areas of the painting such as her hat, bow on hat, her hair, even her tiny nose, her earring her dress, and the fan she is holding.
photo 2 - This is my mailbox which I covered completely in shells. Each time I visited the beach I would pick up a few shells, and glue them down, until the whole thing got covered. I'm now trying to cover up my whole house.....nah, just kidding. ;)
photo 3 - Meet, Sheldon. I saw one of these in one of the gift shops next to the beach I go to, and decided to make one myself. After I painted his eyes, I deciced he needed glasses so I handmade them by bending 20 gauge wire, and I glued them on. His hat I got from an online dollhouse miniature store, which I stuck down as well.
