The AwAkEnInG
April 16th, 2009 in other crafts, knitting, home decorating, embroidery, galleryI call this The Awakening because it reminds me of a tree awakening from deep winter slumber and just starting to bloom. This is made from left overs I had from other projects. The tree is felted onto the canvas along with the grass. The individual leaves are embroidered around the branches of the tree. The canvas scrap, from an art school painting class, I have actually saved for over 10 years just waiting to be recycled. This is actually going to be one of the featured entries in a local art book. I am pretty excited about that.
