Get Unique Handmade Gifts for Mom on Stylehive
comments (3) April 23rd, 2009It's not too early to start thinking about Mother's Day...I'm always on the lookout for cool gifts for my mom. This year, I found a treasure trove of gifts on Stylehive. Among the items that were from department and specialty stores, I also found inspirational handmade gifts. If you don't have time to craft your own gift for mom, support an independent jewelry designer. There are so many beautiful pieces to choose from...here are a few of my favorites. I love this Mother's Day Shadow Pendant from agirlfromtheville. It depicts a mother and daughter and it's created from a recycled Scrabble tile. Or, if you want to get your mom some pearls, how about this sweet nest made of sterling silver designed by Jacksoncreede. For the sentimental heart, Custom by Soulpeaces makes one-of-a-kind glass teardrop lockets using your photograph. Mom can keep all her loved ones close to her heart. Plus, add a personalized message on the hand-stampled word tag that hangs on the antiqued silver chain next to the locket. A quick trip to Williams-Sonoma can get you this square wreath made of herbs and flowers...or maybe you can be adventurous and make your own? Finally, if it's goodies that warm the cockles of your mom's heart, how about these colorful macarons that are availalble in an amazing array of flavors like blueberry and Rose and Coffee!
Happy Mother's Day gift hunting!
